We Smite the Lazy Worker!!!!!!

Don't worry! The Rotherhithe Shed hasn't turned into a Soviet Era "Re-education facility".

Actually, Shedist David Knapp has been inspired by Russian Constructivist art to make a fantastic new clock for the Shed.

David has worked carving the graphic into a salvaged tabletop

then adding gold and copper leaf and red enamel to the distinctive design.

The poster which inspired the work translates as "We smite the lazy worker"

We love the graphic but can't say that we completely agree with that rather brutal sentiment.

Here at the Shed, we are more than happy to laze around after a bit of work and admire the fruits of our labour with a cup of tea and a sandwich. We are not lazy here, but we are happy to be relaxed. There is definitely no smiting permitted!
