The excitement started in November as we prepared our contribution to the Rotherhithe Lantern Procession.

A boat was donated to Time and Talents making a perfect starting point for our lantern procession entry. A frame was created in the shape the Octopus body. This was then covered with tissue paper and PVA Glue.

The tentacles were made out of dryer hose, and carefully covered with hundreds of orange suckers.

The entire beast was then electrified using a complex combination of LED's, wireing, switches, plugs, a car battery, and some rechargeable floodlights

Plastic balls were painted to make giants eyes
Then we put on our Wet-Weather gear and we were ready to go!

The night was an amazing success. We will be back next year with another lantern float.
